alaska's not as cold as green bay

If someone had told me back in September that a) the Giants would make the playoffs and b) that they would beat the Packers to win the NFC Championship and a trip to the Super Bowl, I would have laughed and laughed and laughed, and then stopped to catch my breath... and laughed some more. When they were in the Super Bowl 7 years ago, I couldn't even watch because they didn't really even show up to play and it was embarrassing. This time, all I want is for them to put up a good fight. Well, it's not ALL I want - I want them to beat the damn Patriots and win the freakin' Super Bowl. But, if they at least put up a good fight, like, they did in Week 16, I will be ecstatic.

In other news, I am spending my day off from work... working, but also catching up on tv. Last night was the season finale of Amazing Race, and so today I watched the final three teams race around Alaska gutting fish, catching crabs, climbing glaciers and spending a lot more time in taxi cabs than I thought normal. But in any case, TK and Rachel finish on top, with Ron & Chris in second and Nick & Don in third... quite a nail biter until almost the very last minute and another race comes to an end. What is it about this show that it never gets old?

no chicken, no check-in

The star of this week's leg of Amazing Race is the chicken that each team has to tote around with them from pretty much the start of the leg til they get to the pit stop. I spent the entire episode watching in anticipation for one of the teams to lose a chicken and be denied check-in at the pit stop. But alas, all teams are responsible and show up with chicken in hand. How boring.

In any event, the dumb blonde team "u-turned" Lorena and Jason, which slowed them down immensely and ultimately resulted in the elimination of Lorena and Jason from the race. And now all the teams HATE the blondes (whose names I cannot quite bring myself to remember) so they are pretty much screwed for the rest of the race.

Meanwhile, the Giants suck.

b-i-n-g-o!

It's week 3 of the Amazing Race and crazy Asian dad has a hernia that is going to cause problems during the race for sure. The goth couple is still managing to keep up their makeup ritual and the teams are off to West Africa to find the town of Ouagadougu (or something similarly unpronounceable that I have no chance of spelling correctly). Every single teams gets on the same flight and they all end up waiting for the same train, so there's lot of bunching and all the teams are evened up. Most of this week's activities take place in an African town called Bingo.

The first task they finally get to attempt involves milking camels - LOVE IT. You know why? Because not only do they have to milk the camel, they then have to drink the camel milk. And THEN they have to lead the camels down a path. This proves to be pretty damn hilarious if I do say so myself. Camels are screeching, kicking and pooping all over the place. And then there's Lorena who won't stop screeching and screaming herself, kind of like the camels. Good times.

After some interaction with local African students, Azaria & Hendekea end up first at the pit stop to win a trip to Bermuda, and teams 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 all show up within a minute of each other - I don't know if I've ever seen that happen! And SOMEHOW, Lorena and Jason DON'T come in last even though they were a DISASTER on this leg. Alas, it's bye bye to Marianna & Julia, the bitchy sisters from Florida. All in all, a good week in the race!

Next week: Dancing and scandals!

the grass is greener

...in Ireland! Seriously, the grass is a ridiculous shade of bright lush green in Shannon, Ireland where the teams in the Amazing Race had their first pit stop. I can't quite get over it. But in any case, it's night time by the time the second leg starts this week and the teams are off to an airport to find a flight to Amsterdam for this next leg, so bye-bye to bright green grass.

Teams battle over two different flights to Amsterdam, and once there, it's gray and gloomy. Teams are greeted with a detour of either scouring through huge decks of bike racks for ones with matching stickers or completing a very bugs bunny-like lifting task to get furniture from the sidewalk to an upper floor of an Amsterdam home. After this craziness, teams are led to... ditch vaulting! Oh yes, pole vaulting over a muddy, dirty, soggy ditch. If you fall in, you're slimed. And so this is the roadblock that makes this episode oh so interesting. The first team to attempt it flies over it with ease... and then it's all over after that. Most tries result in mud covered contestants and I think this show reaches a new height when the grandpa gets covered in mud and decides to strip himself down to his underwear (in the form of what appears to be tighty whities but they're black and spandexy - gross). So here we have 68 year old grandpa Donald and his pale jiggly body, clothed in way too tight underpants and covered in mud, vaulting over the ditch. What a sight.

In any event, Asian dad Ronald (clad in a "Who's Your Daddy?" windbreaker) turns out to be somewhat of a nutcase and acts all crazy this episode, which makes me and all the other teams feel very sorry for poor Christina. He's going to need to settle down a bit if they're going to have any chance of climbing out of last place, where they currently reside.

And in the end, Lorena & Jason get to the pit stop first to win the leg of the race along with a pair of sports bikes that Lorena acts way more excited about than I bet she actually is. Minister couple Kate & Pat can't quite get their act together for any part of this episode and alas, come in last place and are eliminated.

Next week: Camels!!

ready, set, go!

Here we are, it's season 12 of The Amazing Race, I couldn't wait to watch and I am as always, smitten. First, we meet the teams:

Shana & Jennifer: Two blondies from LA, and they think they're hot, but they're not. They think they're going to flirt their way to the finish line, but have they not watched the first 11 seasons of this show? It's so not how the race is won. They are doomed and I already dislike them.

Kynt & Vyxsin: Those are not typos in the names! It's a goth dating couple from KENTUCKY and I'm fascinated to see how long they manage to keep up their goth makeup on a daily basis on this race - their makeup must take up a crapload of space in their backpacks!

TK & Rachel: Hipster couple from Cali who think they are madly in love but have only known each other for a year. I know, who am I to be judgmental?

Jennifer & Nathan: Jock couple from Cali who are already fighting and screaming at each other a lot, and it's only the first leg of the race. They're in trouble and no Jennifer, now is NOT the time to wonder if you want to spend the rest of your life with this boy. Especially not when you have a donkey that won't budge.

Jason & Lorena: ANOTHER couple from Cali. Lorena is super whiny and a total crybaby and and Jason doesn't seem to really give a crap about anything, including the race. Combined, they are incredibly annoying.

Nicolas & Ronaldo: A boy and his grandfather. You can sense the anxiety in Nicolas as he tries to hurry along his 68-year-old grandfather along at every pass. This is not going to go well because you can tell the grandfather is going to get stuck doing physical tasks that he can't actually do and we're all going to cringe.

Azaria & Hendekea: Brother and sister token black team. Don't have much of an opinion about them just yet, but they seem pretty harmless and fun. Oh, and they're not annoying, which is a plus.

Ronald & Christina: Token Asian team comprised of father and daughter. Of course I am rooting for them! Ronaldo serenades his daughter as they bike ride, and it is adorable. Almost as adorable when he yells "Who's your daddy?" at the pit stop.

Ari & Staella: Best friends from Cali. I already don't like them because they shamelessly stole one of the other teams' taxis. I know it's a game and all, but STILL. At least have a little guilt about it!

Marianna & Julia: Sisters from Florida.
They are pretty irritating, but this early in the race, I can't actually put my finger on why. Stay tuned.

Kate & Pat: Married Ministers from California who think they are holier than thou, and I suppose as ministers they can think that. But it doesn't give them a right to be obnoxious!

First stop: Ireland! The race starts in LA, but no sooner than we meet the teams are we off to LAX to hop on a flight to Ireland. Aside from being rainy when they get there, it's beautiful! There's bright green grass everywhere, cute little farm houses and locals with adorable Irish accents. In Ireland, they ride bikes and lead donkeys to a farm (I love the tasks involving animals the best!). The donkey task is great because some of the donkeys refuse to even move in typical stubborn donkey format while others run so fast that the teams leading them can't keep up. heehee.
At the pit stop, Hendekea & Azaria come in first place and win a trip to... Canada? The other teams trickle in as fast as their donkeys will allow them, and in the end, Ari & Staella are the last to arrive at the pitstop due to a very uncooperative donkey. And remember how they stole another team's taxi earlier in the leg? That's what we call karma, bitches.

the race is on!

Tonight is the season premiere of one of my favorite reality shows EVER, The Amazing Race! Very exciting to finally have a reality show that I'm excited about back on. It's season 12, it starts now, and I will be talking about this show a lot over the next couple of months while the teams race around the world, so set your DVRs!!

I'm currently watching Sunday Night Football featuring the Cowboys vs. the Eagles (a game where I want both teams to lose... can that happen?), but my DVR is recording away, so check back soon when I get a chance to check out the teams and provide my usual commentary on the contestants and the race!

the Rocket's back!

An otherwise mundane weekend ended on a high note with news of Clemens returning to the Yankees (yaaay!) and Eric and Danielle winning the All Stars edition of Amazing Race - also yay! Not that I loved Eric and Danielle, but I very much did not like Charla and Mirna and the beauty queesn just sort of annoyed the crap out of me the last few episodes. And all in all, it very much pleased me to watch Rob and Amber stand there with forced grins on their face, because you know they were all kinds of pissed off to have not made it very far in the race, as well as have another couple who met on a reality show steal their thunder. HA!

And with that, it's just the beginning of May Sweeps, lots more to come this month!!

what goes around comes around

Ahh yes, another karma-filled episode of Amazing Race. The Blondies basically bribe Danny & Oswald to yield Eric & Danielle AGAIN, and just like it never ceases to amaze me how huge Danielle's boobs are, it doesn't cease to amaze me how dumb all the teams are this season. After the yield, Danny & Oswald spend the entire rest of the episode worrying about bad karma - lo and behold, karma comes back to bite 'em in the arse since they can't beat out Eric & Danielle's 30 minute penalty. Suckers. Lucky for them it's the second consecutive week of non-elimination (booo!) and more importantly, it saddens me that a) the Blondies came in first, and b) Charla and Mirna are STILL IN THE RACE! What an awful, torturous season of Amazing Race this has been.

Can't wait to watch next week's fights between the teams, because you know the yield queens got everyone all riled up now!

Monday, April 16, 2007

what karma?

The teams are off to Hong Kong, or at least trying to, but the first TWENTY minutes of the episode is spent with the teams fighting over standby lists at the airport, bitching about bad karma and not actually GOING anywhere.

Once they finally do get to HK, there is a lot of kung fu fighting, laundromats and people speaking bad English - you know, all the stereotypical Chinese stuff that makes Americans think that Chinese people only know how to kick things and clean clothes.

And in one of the most depressing episodes ever, Charla and Mirna DON'T get eliminated and I am forced to watch them for another week. blah.

Monday, March 12, 2007

justice is served!

Rob & Amber win three legs in a row and then immediately follow it by coming in last place and getting eliminated from the race - HAHA. Granted I wish desperately for Mirna and Charla to go away because they are AWFUL people, but well you know, one small victory at a time.

the Romber effect

It is so very, very VERY wrong that Rob and Amber have now won THREE legs of All Stars Amazing Race so far... given that there have been only three episodes so far... you do the math. it's just wrong.

phil does it again

Twelve teams on a race around the world for $1 million! Another season of Amazing Race is upon us. Season 10! And I have been swamped trying to get my sh*t together for my soon-to-be new home and barely have had a moment to even stop to go to the bathroom, but alas, a girl needs a break every now and then and so a week after the fact, I opted to slack off for an hour and watch the premiere of season ten.

Twleve teams starting out in Seattle, WA and are dumped off in these little sea planes that look like they'd probably give me some serious motion sickness if I ever had to ride in one. Let's meet the teams...

Peter & Sarah - Triathaletes, and Sarah has an artifical leg. I swear I'm not one to discriminate based on disabilities, but given the physical nature of this race, I'm just skeptical.
Team Muslims - Umm, yeah I know it's ignorant to call them that, but thats what they ARE and to be honest, I have no idea what their names are.
Rob & Kimberly - This isthe team that will be screaming at and fighting with each other the entire race. Reminiscent of Jon & Victoria if anyone remembers them from an earlier season.
Dustin & Kandice - Miss New York and Miss California. Blondies with big boobs.
Davd & Mary - Team Kentucky. Every stereotype you can think of applies here.
Erwin & Godwin - Asian brothers who get in trouble for having water guns in the airport. Haha! No seriously, did they think they were going to get away with that?
Duke & Lauren - Father and his lesbian daughter from Rhode Island. Not as exciting as it sounds.
Vipul & Arti - The Indian couple that make some bad bad navigation decisions that end up biting them in the ass.
Kellie & Jamie - Cheerleaders with very limited personality.
Tyler & James - Cute models that happen to be recovering druggies. Nice recovery, boys.
Lynn & Karlyn - Single moms from Alabama that complain a LOT.
Tom & Terry - Boyfriends from NYC that I am rooting for because my sister knows Terry from work.

And just like that, the teams are off to China! And the first roadblock involves eating fish eyes, which just grosses the hell out of me and makes me mad that this show is perpetuating the stereotype that Chinese people eat some nasty stuff. And holy crap a team gets eliminated before the race even really gets started! Phil pulls a fast one on us and eliminates a team even though it's not a pit stop! I guess it doesn't matter that I never got to learn the Muslims' names... As for the ACTUAL pit stop, Tyler & James win $20K for finishing first and the Indian couple finishes last and goes bye-bye. Wow, two teams out in the first episode, and arguably the two most ethnically diverse teams compared to past seasons at that. Whew, that was exhausting.

oh canada

It was an insane weekend with the Canadians in town and I didn't have a minute to catch up on any of my tv. dammit. Spent most of Saturday outdoors and got attacked by a whole host of mosquitos and other unidentified insects - I've got 5 bites on my left leg alone, and it ain't pretty. Sunday I did touristy stuff with the Canadians that included walking down 5th Avenue, through Times Square, having lunch at Hard Rock Cafe, and accidentally ran into a street fair, which was an added bonus for me. Street fairs are the best -- how can you go wrong with funnel cake and free popcorn samples?

Some tv tidbits I HAVE managed to gather, even though I haven't really actually watched much tv:
- Rob and Amber strike again! Yes, the couple we all love to hate is making a reality tv comeback. Because All Stars Survivor wasn't enough. The Amazing Race wasn't enough. The Romber Wedding Special wasn't enough. They now bring you: The Rob and Amber Project. Rob and Amber move to Vegas so Rob can attempt to become a professional gambler. seriously. I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried. It's disgusting, I know.
- Because ABC likes to torture its viewers, yet another season of The Bachelor premieres this fall in Rome. Featuring a "real Italian prince" as the bachelor (so they say) who claims to be a "cosmetics entrepreneur" but through more extensive research is discovered to actually be an internet retailer of doggie bath products. seriously. Like I said, I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.
- Dancing With the Stars 3 in September! woohoo!
- They are moving Amazing Race to Sundays. I'm sure this is going to somehow conflict with other sunday night tv in a major way, but I'm not quite sure how just yet. Season 10 starts this fall, and my sister used to work with one of the guys in the token gay couple team. good times.

Hope that is enough to tide you over until I get a chance to catch up on tv... which may not be for a while. Aside from entertaining the Canadians, I will be in St. Louis for the next two days in the sweltering heat. Why I am going to a city where there are still 160,000 people without power (down from 600K last week) is beyond me. One of the great mysteries of life.

monkey business

I so very much enjoyed watching baseball players swinging pink bats in honor of Mother's Day and breast cancer awareness. Grown men wearing pink wristbands and using pink baseball bats. sweet.

Not an easy task, but I crammed a heck of a lot of tv into this weekend. Rather difficult to recap it all, but in the midst of all my baseball watching and Mother's Day festivities, my thoughts:

24 -- I still kinda don't get how Kiefer's use of electronic devices during the flight didn't cause a crash. And also curious about the wardrobes provided to the CTU clinic patients. I remember Tony had on a t-shirt and sweatpants, Audrey had on what looked to be yoga pants, and Bierko was wearing hospital scrubs. And I am seriously just so over President Dumb Ass. Ugh.

Amazing Race -- oh the joy of crying MoJo being eliminated from the race. And if you must know, the roadblock involving the monkey feast was endlessly entertaining. There is something about lots and lots of monkeys running around all over the place that is fun to watch, espcially when it has an impact on the race. Last season I believe it was camels and llamas. The monkeys were a nice touch this time around.

Lost -- So f-ing creepy. For the record, I almost had myself an anuerysm when Libby starting hacking blood. And Michael, sheesh, what the hell to even do with that guy. Emotionally heartwrenching. And at times just downright bizarre.

What else... oh, both Will & Grace and That 70's Show are ending this week after an eight year run by each. Will & Grace has not been at the top of its game the past few years, but I still always have a soft spot in my heart for it, and so I watched them bid their farewell on Oprah last week. Also watched a 70's Show good-bye special which for some unexplainable reason was heartwrenchingly sad and hilarious all at the same time. good stuff.

I think I'm back on track with tv. Except I hear there is some sort of Presidential Address tonight that is going to throw off the timing of shows...so set your DVRs accordingly!

It always sounds better live...

Unfortunately, most of the people voting are not watching live but rather watching on television, and that is why Katharine McPhee was in the bottom two last night. And she was CLEARLY pissed to be there. Unlike Lisa who was all smiles considering this was her third week in a row up there, and well, third time's a charm. Nice girl, but you had to see that coming - the voters were super mad at her for butchering Kelly Clarkson.

What else...oh, the girls from NY with the big boobs got botted from Amazing Race. Lake "Like the Ocean" and Michelle totally yielded those girls' asses and it actually made a difference in the outcome of the race. They were the last of the female-only teams this season to get eliminated, and that's that. I wonder how devasted the Frat Boys were when they found out their chicks were sent home. If you ask me, this means all out war between them and Lake & Michelle. Because really, whose pants are they going to try to get into now?

its a raaace!

Oh, how happy am I that a new season of Amazing Race is upon us, and this time its back to 11 teams of two and its a REAL race, not a fake one where families of 4 just sort of wander around the country posing for pictures and climbing big chairs. No offense to the really cute brothers that won the family edition because i loved them, but well, I just really am glad to have back the race around the WORLD. Since this is pretty much one of my favorite reality shows to ever grace the planet, let's review my thoughts on the teams we'll be following this season. In no particular order:

Team Frat Boys: Eric and Jeremy, friends from Florida. Clearly casted to be the good looking boys in the race, so even though they both are slightly missing something in the looks category -- Eric has a big forehead and sort of reminds me of Dylan McKay from 90210 and Jeremy almost kind of reminds me of Uncle Joey from Full House -- I am forced to root for them. My sister refers to them as Beavis & Butthead, which I think I will also start to do. I don't mind Eric so much, but think Jeremy is somewhat of a weirdo. They are still better looking than most other teams on this race (aka they have hot bodies according to the intro footage of them playing volleyball on the beach) so I can deal.

Team Pink: Danielle and Dani from Staten Island, NY. Something about them annoys me. And no, it's not the fact that they dress alike and have some of the biggest boobs I've ever seen in my life (I am so incredibly disgusted when the hippie team calls them Double D and is NOT referring to the fact that both their names start with "D"). Something about their personalities are "off" and I think it's funny that they pretend to think that Eric and Jeremy are obnoxious when they are clearly going to end up hooking up with them during the mandatory "rest" periods.

Team Hippies: BJ and Tyler. They sort of remind me of Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber, but I think that's only because of the bright orange ruffled shirt that one of them in wearing. I honestly can't decide if I'm amused by them or totally annoyed by them.

Team Boricua: Wanda & Desiree, a mother and daughter team. Desiree is quite adorable, and I can't help but rather enjoy this team, even though the mom irks me on occasion. Desiree is not only good looking but she's stylish. They talk in Spanish a lot, which I can live with, since I almost can understand them even without the subtitles.

David & Lori: I don't have a good team name for them yet. They are an almost-obnoxiously adorable couple from Manhattan, KANSAS. They are very lovey-dovey to one another and admitted geeks, but the sheer fun they are clearly having with this race and each other makes them very adorable and it's only a matter of time before that gets on my nerves.

Ray & Yolanda: The token black couple. It would be so very wrong of me to call them "The black team" given that a) its kind of racist, and b) last season there actually WAS a black team whose last name was Black and they referred to themselves as "The Black Team" and it was just funny even though it was just wrong. Anyway, I like them immensely and hope they start to race a little better than they did on this first leg.

Team MoJo (ugh): Monica & Joseph, also to be known as Barbie & Ken. They automatically annoy me because as if it's not bad enough that they refer to themselves as MoJo, but they actually have TSHIRTS that say MOJO on them. First of all, its lame to give yourself a nickname. And then to wear tshirts with your self-proclaimed nickname? Awful. Monica is super cute, but also super bi-polar, and I don't know why Joseph puts up with her aside from the fact that she is pretty hot.

Lake & Michelle: Clearly have the most potential to be the token dysfunctional couple of the race. They both look like transplants out of the 80's, he clearly used to have a mullet, and she clearly used to have really big hair...oh wait, she still does. Lake spends most of the episode screaming at her, and I almost fell over laughing when someone made a Scott Peterson reference about him. So inappropriate, but so funny.

Fran & Barry: The token old couple of the show. I worry for them because they are in their 60's, but at the same time I can't stand them because all Fran does the entire episode is talk about how they are going to be eliminated, to the point that you kind of wish they would be. Especially when they walked by the clue box on the bridge at least 4 or 5 times without see it. I'm not sure I would have been able to keep a straight face if I were the cameraman following them around and filming this insanity.

Team Glamazon: Lisa & Joni, who refer to themselves as Glamazons, but have been named by the other teams as Team Frosties. Their intro footage features them using a Bedazzler which automatically makes me kind of like them, but then they quickly drive me NUTS. All they do the entire episode is jump around screaming and it's just ridiculous and already getting old. I prayed for them to come in last place, but they snuck in at 10th place.

John & Scott: Quickly eliminated from the race, so I can't bother to spend too much time talking about them. But they were annoying and I will not miss them at all.

Good times, people...good times.

Best Chrismukkah Bar Mitzvukkah Ever!

I don't usually ever get to watch shows the same night it actually airs, but since I was up late last night waiting for updates on the pending MTA strike, around 10pm the urge to watch the OC Chrismukkah 2005 hit me, and so it goes. Aside from this awful side story line of Johnny turning bad and trying to hold up a mini mart, it was indeed a happy chrismukkah in the OC. Seth wears a reindeer sweater but redeems himself by coming up with the Chrismukkah Bar Mitzvukkah idea, Summer's dad makes a special guest appearance and opens the door for a pending love affair storyline with Julie Cooper-Nichols-Cooper, and I'm left wondering how they manage to grow such good looking christmas trees in california. All in all, the best chrismukkah ever.

And in reality tv news, I've never been so pleased with the outcome of an Amazing Race edition before in my life. My favorite team of Linz hotties won, and it was FANTASTIC. Yes, I am officially a dork, I was positively beaming when they won.

i love tommy linz

the most boring episode of the amazing race ever to exist aired this week. they rode in hot air ballons, went horse back riding, and had a task that involved watching the eruption of Old Faithful - wtf? are these people for real? and then their last clue says to go find Phil at the mat, and if these monkeys had been watching previous seasons of Amazing Race, they would have KNOWN that it was a trick pit stop, meaning not really a pit stop at all. duh. So with the non-elimination leg last week, the fake pit stop this week, it will be a three week time frame between eliminations. could they be dragging out the most boring season ever any more? they are lucky that the hot Linz brothers are still in the race, or i sooo would not be watching anymore...(okay who are we kidding, i'd probably still be watching anyway, but you catch my drift.)

and no, i have no idea when i became a gossip columnist. must have something to do with the fact that i need to make sure everyone is up to date on their gawker news. if everyone would just suck it up and read gawker religiously like i do, i wouldn't have to be a gossip columnist. not that i don't enjoy it. because i love celebrity gossip! don't we all?

back in the US...

what a pleasant surprise to pull up Amazing Race from my DVR list this week to discover that is was two whole hours long! what NOT a pleasant surprise to discover that the teams are already headed back to the US. Oh yes, they've been out of the US for soooo long, going to Panama and then Costa Rica. They didn't even cross any oceans for crying out loud! Lucky for me, the episodes opens with one of the hot Linz brothers stripping down to go take a swim, so no complaints there. Anyway, quick visit to a Costa rican church and a sugar cane detour, and back into the US they go and onto Arizona where there is yet another racetrack task which I'm sure is designed to try to instill some sort of sympathy for the Weaver family to balance out the extreme dislike. The Bransen sisters and Wally get to the pit stop mat last but thanks to the friendly advice of the Paolos, they are layered up for the obvious non-elimination leg.

Hour #2! Flying in little fighter jets and then a trip to the Grand Canyon (as if it weren't an obvious stop for this all-american tour). They are at the Grand Canyon for about two minutes before they are sent to some other tourist attraction and end up doing random detours consisting of either knowing how to use a compass, or being really good at scooping water. Finally they get to go via power boat to the pit stop, where the Linz' are TOTALLY RIPPED OFF and come in second place to the desperate housewives even though they should have been first. Those boats were rigged!

damned red coffee bean

This week's episode of Amazing Race is why I don't like the familiy edition. NOboby wants to see the little girl cry because she came in last place!! Damn near broke my heart, I tell ya. Linz Family all the way. They are hot, hot, hot! (in more ways than one).

In other news, Punk'd is back! Mischa Barton getting punk'd was only semi-entertaining, but I'll tell you what I CAN NOT wait for. They showed some clips of upcoming episodes, and Kristen from Laguna is going to get punk'd!! Just goes to show what has become of the kids on this show. They're totally Hollywood now. Talan's chillin with Ryan Cabrera, Kristen's well known enough to be punk'd by Ashton... the innocence is gone. GONE! (was it ever there to begin with?)
