All Star Break
I'm currently watching the 2007 MLB All Star Game, which was started with a lot of fanfare and interviewsand montages, capped with a really cool tribute to Willie Mays. The game itself is so far it's usual not so exciting self, though I always love to see the players from different teams working together instead of against each othr. Posada exchanging high fives with Suzuki and what have you... and at least it can't possibly turn out to be as boring as last night's Home Run Derby which ran waaay late and caused a delay in the much anticipated premiere of The Bronx is Burning. All that marketing and promotion and then it doesn't air until an hour and change after it was supposed to. So unless you happened to be watching and saw that the Derby was running long and knew to fix your DVR to record what was supposed to air at 11PM (The Celebrity Softball match), then you totally missed out on recording The Bronx is Burning because your DVR recorded the second hour of the Derby instead. ESPN sure screwed that one up!
In the midst of all this baseball related tv, I am also DVRing Big Brother 8 (yes that show is still on and yes I'm actually watching!), Hell's Kitchen, The Singing Bee and Don't Forget the Lyrics. Ahh yes, the joy of really subpar summer television!
