for the record, this is not a good idea

ohmygoodness, another heart palpitating episode of 24. so let's see...the hobbit has gone beserko, allowing curtis to be the coolest black guy on television last nite while Audrey was basically operating a little mini-CTU behind the hobbit's back. Audrey's mini-mission leads Kiefer to some old guy he used to work with who pretends to help him but then tries to lock him up and blow him up, but Kiefer ain't having it.

and President Idiot? Sooo in trouble. Not only is his wife pissed that he was going to let her get blown up by the terrorists, but the terrorists are pissed that he didn't let them blow her up. Well, not her specifically, but the motorcade she was riding along in. Either way, he sure is getting himself on a lot of people's S-list these days. Not the way to go if you're the President of the United States.

ooh, 2 hours next week! And Kimmie Bauer! I hope she didn't get caught in a cougar trap on her way over to CTU.

i barely have words for how pleased i am with the finale of Dancing with the Stars. i loved it. LOVED it. yeah, i just watched it and i am giddy, it made me so happy! yeah, i'm a dork. but i couldn't have scripted a better finale myself! what a joy to my life.

okay, time for 24. woohoooo!

worst song choice ever

I'm finally starting to shake this god awful cold I've had for the past week. Since I have been sitting at home for 3 days straight with nothing but my tissues, cough drops, dayquil, nyquil, and DVR, here is a recap of my tv experience:

American Idol: Did Bobby really think he was getting through to the next song after singing the Copa Cabana? Am I the only one that was TOTALLY CREEPED OUT by his performance? The other guy outed was some guy who looked like Tom Green and sang Meliss Ethridge. Bad combination all around. As for the girls, I shocked that Becky the Maxim girl didn't get more votes. What were you thinking, America?

24: The First Lady is craaaazy. What the hell would posess her to get into that limo? As if the idiot president can handle another moral dilemma. And where is that Kimmie Bauer anyway?

Lost: Wait, was that even on this week? Hmm. I don't think so. However, the Sayid Show last week was AWESOME. That guy does not fuck around.

Thursday's Oprah: Featuring women who are admitted sex addicts and have had sex with 90+ men. I think the defining moment of this show was when Oprah asked one of the women if she allowed the men to ejaculate on her face. I don't even have words to describe the expression on my face hearing Oprah say such things.

Dancing With the Stars: If Drew Lachey doesn't win the trophy tonite, I'm going to be totally horrified. I'm not really sure exactly how I felt about his gay cowboy freestyle dance, but if it was good enough for the judges, it was good enough for me. Though I'm not sure who will be more disappointed if Drew loses, Drew or Nick. I vote for Nick.

its not a racist thing

you'll have to excuse me, but i feel like poop and am all sorts of drugged up and am currently sitting at work wheezing while typing with gloves on. so if i don't seem coherent, it's because i'm not. in shocking news, i have not yet watched this week's 24 in its entirety. i got about halfway through it but then my niece showed up and 24 isn't exactly the type of show that any 7-year-old girl needs to be watching. so, we watched American Idol instead and my niece participated in the outfit critiquing that I usually do during such shows. Strangely, the girls whose outfits (my niece and) I liked were mostly the girls whose performances I didn't really like. Performance-wise:

I really liked: Mandisa (look at that booty go), Paris (how does that voice come out of that little person?), and Lisa Tucker (only 16? no frickin way).

I sorta also liked: Katharine McPhee (she's cute. and she can sing pretty well for a white girl), and Ayla (not as cute, but a foot taller than Ryan Seacrest which is fun, and can also sing pretty decent for a basketball-playing white girl).

I didn't like: Everyone else.

Tonite the boys sing, who I do believe are doomed, because most of them look like 14 year old boys going through puberty.

oops

i'm backlogged on tv. again. the only things i've watched so far this week are Desperate Housewives, 24, and one night of AI. Other than that, I've been either not in front of a tv or watching random Olympic events - I know I said I was boycotting after Michelle Kwan dropped out, but I am fascinated by this new "snowboardcross" event. I'm still not totally convinced that snowboarding is a legitimate olympic sport, but it's still entertaining enough that i did watch the halfpipe, and i am into the snowboardcross. Although that American chick totally f-ing up today and not winning the gold (will air tonite I suppose but I've already read about it online - sorry if i just spoiled the surprise for anyone) was completely lame.

Thank goodness for the three day weekend. Hopefully I'll be caught up on my tv and back to my regularly scheduled blogging by the end of it.

boooo!

I am DEVASTATED that Michelle Kwan has withdrawn from the Olympics. I positively adore her and totally respect her for making the impossible decision, but SHE is the reason I watch the Winter Olympics, so as far as I'm concerned, the winter olympics are now dead to me.

And because of that, I'm now just waiting for all the good tv... Amazing Race 9 starts on February 28th...Apprentice 5 starts February 27th... and speaking of, The Apprentice has "officially" jumped the shark btw (though some might argue it did that about 3 seasons ago) -- did you know that you can go online and VOTE for one of the Olympians currently in Torino to be a contestant in Apprentice 6? If that isn't NBC cross-promotion taken to an extreme and any credibility left in Trump's show taken away, I don't know what is.

OC isn't back til March 9, but thankfully, not all shows are caving in to the bullying of the Olympics coverage, and shows like 24 and Lost are still new this week. whew. Perhaps the return of Kim Bauer sometime in our near future?

uno dos tres

i am a delinquent tv blogger. but in any case, i bet all the 24 fans are excited that they have for all intents and purposes set the scene for the return of kim bauer. lets just hope she manages not to get caught in a coyote trap on her way to ctu.

i love chloe for her socially enept ways, but more than i love chloe, i love edgar for that smirky look on his face after chloe sent spencer packin'.

i have sooo many ridiculous comments about this week's two hour episode of the bachelor that sent travis on a whirlwind adventure across north america on hometown dates, but i don't even have the energy for that right now.
i'm watching the grammy awards at the moment and i must say, Bono is the f-ing man. oh, and how 'bout that kelly clarkson? what a little gem she is.

mmm cupcakes

sorry kids, no tv update today. work's been super crazy - imagine that! and i had a very busy weekend that didn't leave much time for tv watching. i should tell you though, that i did make some KICK ASS cupcakes for the super bowl party i went to yesterday. not to brag, but they came out sooo good. and i LOVE cupcakes, and will only rave about cupcakes if i think they are fabulous, even if they are my own. yum. aside from cupcakes i also ate lots of other yummy snacks, topped off with beer and jello shots. now that's what i call a super bowl party.

I do truly believe though that the Super Bowl should be moved to Saturday. I don't care what you tell me, if MNF can be moved to ESPN, and Sunday Night Football can be moved to NBC, then the damn Super Bowl can be moved to Saturday. Someone start a petition please.

24 tonite! woooohoo!
