And just for the record, baseball in HD is FREAKIN' AWESOME! Friday night and I am planted on my couch in front of my HDTV watching Yankees baseball in HD. Can't beat it.

This week marks one of the most ridiculous weeks of American Idol to date. First of all, it was a haphazard "Latin" theme with the contestants performing pseudo-latin songs coached by J Lo (who, for the record, looked fabulously awesome). The song selections SUCKED all around, and the results show opened with the most AWFUL sounding group performance EVER. Holy mother of crappiness it actually made me cringe to listen to. It was a bad, bad week for AI and I am not amused. Except with the most random performance by Akon even though it was Latin week... last I checked, Akon is so not even close to hispanic.

And not that I'm even surprised anymore that Sanjaya keeps surviving week after week despite his awfulness, but he hasn't even made it into the bottom three yet! WTF?!

I ended a very relaxing (but very short) weekend with the season premiere of Entourage, which was highlighted by a cameo appearance by Alessandra, my most favoritest VS model EVER, wheeling out Vince's cake at his birthday party. That in itself made the episode worth every second of watching. Just a darn shame they didn't show more of her!

I'm trying very much to balance tv with baseball. TV watching just hasn't been the same since I went to Opening Day at Yankee Stadium. Except of course for this past saturday which was spent plastered to the couch alongside Evan watching show after show after show... topped off with The Sound of Music and the Easter edition of Unwrapped! I love my tv.

i'm baaack!

In an effort to revive my blog that had been dying a slow death, I've been inspired by Evan to get back to writing about my favorite subject - TV. I don't have anything in particular to write about just yet, and with baseball season in full swing again, it's hard to balance tv watching with baseball watching, but I am damn sure well going to try, so here I go again!

Guilty pleasure show of the month: The Pussycat Dolls: The Search for the Next Doll

Shows that I can't stop watching even though they are becoming ridiculously out of control: 24 and Lost (am I SERIOUSLY supposed to believe in the smoke monster?!)

The most ridiculously awful reality show that is so bad you can't help but watch: The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman

Rob & Amber win three legs in a row and then immediately follow it by coming in last place and getting eliminated from the race - HAHA. Granted I wish desperately for Mirna and Charla to go away because they are AWFUL people, but well you know, one small victory at a time.

It is so very, very VERY wrong that Rob and Amber have now won THREE legs of All Stars Amazing Race so far... given that there have been only three episodes so far... you do the math. it's just wrong.

The end of the OC era is upon us. I'm about to admit something that may seem completely absurd, but - I CRIED. It was sad! Well, it wasn't ALL sad, but some of it was, and it was all SO GOOD!

They did a fab job of wrapping things up - the Cohens end up back at their old house, Ryan goes to Berkeley and ends up on his way to becoming the next Sandy Cohen, Seth and Summer FINALLY get MARRIED, and Team Julie comes through in the clutch - remember in 90210 when Kelly Taylor has to choose between Dylan and Brandon and she chooses herself instead? Julie Cooper chooses a college degree over Bullet and Frank. Good times.

I'm having trouble letting this show go, so for the time being, I have the finale saved on my DVR... I may have to watch it at least one more time before I give up on it.

Mind you I still haven't even deleted December's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show yet!

and then there was one.

Work's still a bear, and leaves me in a mentally exhausted state that makes it hard to care about anything, but as I frantically tried to catch up on tv this weekend I came to the sad realization that I DO still care about tv! And watching the second to last episode of The OC made me VERY SAD. There is only ONE episode left! One of my favoritest shows, gone forever. Boooooo.

Work has officially kicked my ass and beat me down. Being a manager ain't all it's cut out to be and I've got a ways to go but the bottom line is that I don't have the capacity to pay attention to tv much less write about it anymore at this time in my life.

So hope everyone's enjoying this season of 24 right now, not to mention the final episodes of The OC, but for now....

Hope everyone had a happy, fun and safe new years. As I am now finally starting to recover from the intense hangover that ensued after my new years eve festivities, thought I'd get ready to kick things up a notch. I don't do resolutions, so I won't resolve to be a better blogger this year. Nor will I resolve to exercise more, eat healthier, blah blah blah. I will continue to eat like a fat slob and never step foot in the gym in my building and LIKE IT. But anyway, I will maybe sort of try to be a more consistent blogger. No promises though.

The season 6 premiere of 24 is under two weeks away - January 14th @ 8PM - don't forget to set your DVRs! This season looks like supreme CRAZINESS. I mean really, WHO DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE acting like they're going to sacrifice Jack Bauer?!!! Keifer gets sacrificed for nothing!
