and then there was one.

Work's still a bear, and leaves me in a mentally exhausted state that makes it hard to care about anything, but as I frantically tried to catch up on tv this weekend I came to the sad realization that I DO still care about tv! And watching the second to last episode of The OC made me VERY SAD. There is only ONE episode left! One of my favoritest shows, gone forever. Boooooo.

and done.

Work has officially kicked my ass and beat me down. Being a manager ain't all it's cut out to be and I've got a ways to go but the bottom line is that I don't have the capacity to pay attention to tv much less write about it anymore at this time in my life.

So hope everyone's enjoying this season of 24 right now, not to mention the final episodes of The OC, but for now....

I'm out.

happy new year!

Hope everyone had a happy, fun and safe new years. As I am now finally starting to recover from the intense hangover that ensued after my new years eve festivities, thought I'd get ready to kick things up a notch. I don't do resolutions, so I won't resolve to be a better blogger this year. Nor will I resolve to exercise more, eat healthier, blah blah blah. I will continue to eat like a fat slob and never step foot in the gym in my building and LIKE IT. But anyway, I will maybe sort of try to be a more consistent blogger. No promises though.

The season 6 premiere of 24 is under two weeks away - January 14th @ 8PM - don't forget to set your DVRs! This season looks like supreme CRAZINESS. I mean really, WHO DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE acting like they're going to sacrifice Jack Bauer?!!! Keifer gets sacrificed for nothing!

And for those of you keepin track, some other notable premieres coming up:
Season 6 of American Idol: January 16th @ 8PM
Second half of season 2 of Prison Break: January 22nd @ 8PM

Aside from that, the usual suspects are back from their holidays breaks, including new episodes this week of Scrubs and The OC on Thursday and Desperate Housewives on Sunday.

Yay!

i love yul

Just wanted to interrupt my blog-vacation for just a sec to say that I am incredibly pleased that Yul won Survivor. It never happens, but it happened - the guy I was actually rooting for and was actually a truly nice guy and actually a good competitor actually won! Good for you, Yul!

Okay, back to blog slacking...

greatest show on earth

Okay, so I just said I was going on blog vacation til after the holiidays. Well, I decided that I just had to comment one more time before that about last night's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. In HD. It was SUPER. Love Alessandra. Love Heidi. Love Justin Timberlake. I don't think it gets any better than that!! I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- it's the one time of the year I think I was meant to be a lesbian. Except this year, because I have a crush on Justin Timberlake, so getting to see him reminded me why I'm straight.

And yes, as if the show itself weren't great enough, I got to watch it in HD!!! Totally fabulous. Some highlights for those of you that were unfortunate enough to miss it:

Okay, I'm out. See you in '07!

happy holidays

So as I'm sure NObody is still reading this blog anymore, and I don't even have much of a reason to write anyway due to the lack of decent tv, I think I'm going on holiday hiatus. I have officially kicked off my holiday season, complete with holiday parties, christmas lights and a poinsettia (which I am trying very very hard not to kill) in my apartment. I've starting my christmas shopping and have begun circulating holiday cards, candy canes and other assorted holiday items. I have even fallen victim to the overpriced holiday drinks at Starbucks -- the peppermint hot chocolate is to die for.

And so... until the new year, and season six of 24 starts up with the 2-night 4-hour premiere on January 14-15, this blog is on vacation. Happy and safe holidays to all!

Another dancer is crowned...

...and I am SO glad it was NOT Mario Lopez! SO happy that Emmitt Smith won - that's two years in a row for Cheryl Burke not too shabby. You can't not love Emmitt, Mario Lopez just bothers me - it's hard to take him seriously knowing he's really AC Slater, and the puss on Karina's face said it all. hehe.

Well, that's another show off my already skimpy DVR list. The season finale of Laguna Beach was also on last night, so once I get around to watching that, that's even less tv for my DVR. I might actually have to start watching some of those movies I keep recording.

i hate mondays

I am have a terrible start to my week for a variety of reasons I will spare you the gory details of. Because of the bad mood this has caused, I'm protesting work (even though work only accounts for a tiny portion of why I'm cranky) and opting to vent here instead. Figure maybe if I can distract myself by talking about tv, that lessens the risk that I take out my crankiness on someone at work, because nobody needs that. Unfortunately, I hardly have much to talk about. Love, love LOVE my new tv, but have spent most of my time utilizing it to watch football rather than tv shows. I have only watched one episode of last week's OC doubleheader, so I can't comment much there aside from the fact that Adam Brody continues to steal my heart episode after episode, season after season. I'll reserve the rest of my commentary on that until after I watch the second episode from last week, since I have a feeling whatever happened in that episode may make my commentary irrelevant.

Other than that, I have been a terrible tv watcher in terms of anything other than sports. Football in HD is mesmerizing...

HDTV

Didn't I say I was going to start blogging again once I got my HD tv and cable all set up? Hmm, I've had it about a week and a half now, and am finally getting around to writing about it. I have been too busy basking in the glory of my super cool HDTV. I don't even know how I watched tv before this - everything just looks bigger and better now. I have taken to watching football games I don't really care all that much about for the sole reason that they are in HD. Sad, but true. In fact, I'll watch almost anything in HD now. I haven't really gotten around to building up a huge inventory on my DVR list yet, but am working on it. I did watch Desperate Housewives last night though - intense! I don't care what anyone says, Lynette is a badass. What a crazy episode, and especially intense in HD!

HD is good times, I tell you!
